The Tiny Tiger class meets each week on Wednesday from 4:15 - 4:50p.m. Our school trains twelve months out of the year and when the children graduate from the Tiny Tiger program they move into the Junior Beginner program.

During class the Tiny Tiger students are introduced to a structured routine of running, tumbling, stretching and fitness. The beginning level of Tae Kwon Do punches, blocks, kicks and stances are also practiced. The students are taught how to listen and follow the directions of the instructors Ms. McCall and Mr. Craig. This will give them an invaluable advantage when they attend school and start to take instructions from their teachers.

In the Junior Intermediate program the students are now colored belts and have graduated from the Junior Beginner program. The classes meet up to four times per week. These students can now start learning the first level of sparring drills with their pads and make contact with each other.

Tae Kwon Do is an Olympic event in sparring and there are rules governing the actions of the students in the matches. They learn not only how to deliver kicks to each other but also how to breathe and prepare themselves to receive kicks. As they progress through the color belt ranks their mental focus sharpens while their fitness, forms and sparring requirements increase in difficulty. This prepares them for the advanced class.

The mixture of beginning to intermediate students gives the advanced students a chance to practice their teaching skills by helping as an assistant. The new students see how much energy and skills the advanced students bring to class. This encourages them to try their best and to excel in their endeavors.
